David Wilson

David Wilson is currently serving as the Deputy Port Director for Clydeport & Dublin at Peel Ports Group since April 2023. Prior to this role, David was the Head of Supply Chain at Circularity Scotland from February 2022 to April 2023 and held the position of General Manager, North at Gist – Transforming Supply Chains from July 2020 to July 2021. David's extensive experience in logistics includes significant tenures as General Manager at Asda Logistics Services, where roles included managing Chilled and Ambient Distribution Centres, as well as being a Property Developer while self-employed. David began a career in operational management at Lidl GB and Lidl in Germany, where progression included roles from Trainee District Manager to District Manager. David is also experienced in recruitment, having worked as a Recruitment Consultant at TMP Worldwide and SkillsGroup. Educational qualifications include a PgD in IT & Business from the University of the West of Scotland, a BSc (Hons) in Technology & Business from the University of Strathclyde, a Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers from FTA, and early education at Hutchesons’ Grammar School.
