Mark Ashton

Mark Ashton is an experienced maritime professional with a strong background in marine projects and operations. Currently serving as Assistant Group Harbour Master and Assistant Group Marine Project Manager at Peel Ports Group since September 2017, Mark has also held roles as Deputy Group Planning Manager and Group VTS Operator within the same organization. Prior experience includes serving as a 2nd Officer at Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA and a 3rd Officer at Wilhelmsen Lines Car Carriers, as well as foundational experience as a Deck Cadet at Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA. Mark's earlier career included roles in business development and account management with ingenuity abm and Mtivity. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a foundation degree in Nautical Science from Fleetwood Nautical Campus.
