Neill Sumner

Neill Sumner is an experienced marine operations professional currently serving as Marine Operations Manager at Peel Ports Group since August 2014. In this role, Neill maintains navigational safety as the Deputy to the Harbour Master for multiple ports, provides maritime advice, and manages budgeting and contracts for pilotage and harbour maintenance. Prior to this, Neill held the position of Chief Officer at P&O Ferries from February 2008 to August 2014, overseeing vessel maintenance, cargo management, and crew training, while also serving as Safety and Security Officer. Neill began a career in the maritime field with a Higher National Diploma in Nautical Science from South Tyneside College, completed in 2011.
