Shani Nyer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations.

Starting in 2022, Shani worked as a Customer Success Manager at PeerSpot (formerly IT Central Station).

Shani'sresponsibilities included assisting Holocaust survivors with claims applications and processing, reviewing appeal cases, and providing support and follow-up for complications between survivors and the Claims Conference.

In addition, Shani gained experience as a Content Intern on the English website at the Israel Democracy Institute in 2014. Shani also held positions as the Director of Fellowship Program at Uri L'Tzedek in 2010, a Marketing Intern at The Jerusalem Foundation, Inc. in 2009, and an Intern at Uri L'Tzedek in 2008.

Shani began their career as an Individual Service Program Intern at American Jewish World Service in 2008 and worked as an Administrative Assistant at Hasbara Fellowships in 2007.

Shani Nyer began their education at Ma'ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls from 2002 to 2004. Shani then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Jewish Studies at Queens College and Macaulay Honors College at The City University of New York from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, during this time, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies at Macaulay Honors College. Later, from 2011 to 2015, Shani studied at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
