Luis Azpurua, MD received their MD from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1990. Luis then pursued a Specialist degree in Pediatrics from the same institution from 1992 to 1995. In 1996 to 1998, they completed a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine program at the Hospital de Niños de Caracas. In 2001, they completed a Health Management program at IESA. In 2014, they obtained a Boiethics degree in Bioethics/Medical Ethics from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. In addition, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree from Liceo Los Arcos in 1979. Luis has also obtained several edX certificates, including an Honor Code Certificate for Nutrition and Health Part 2: Micronutrients and Malnutrition in 2016, an Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Nutrition – Food for Health in 2015, an edX Certificate for Improving Global Health: Focusing on Quality and Safety in 2014, an Honor Code Certificate for Epidemics, an Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Applied Biostatistics: Statistics for Medical Research, and an Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Bioethics.
