Daniel Wilson, MSc

Co-Founder, Chief Operating Officer at Pegasus Biotech Inc.

Daniel Wilson, MSc has extensive work experience in the biotech industry. Daniel started their career at the Montreal Children's Hospital Research Institute as a Research Associate, where they focused on identifying genes essential for fetal lung development. Daniel then joined Oncormed, Inc. as a Senior Research Associate, where they optimized GeneChip sample preparation protocols. After that, they worked at Gene Logic Inc. as a Senior Scientist, providing R&D support for the production of microarray gene expression databases.

In 2004, Daniel joined Axela Inc. as the Director of R&D, where they managed molecular biology laboratory projects and personnel. Daniel played a key role in the development of an innovative microarray gene expression platform called Ziplex. Daniel was responsible for planning and designing the prototype and later optimizing the system. Daniel also developed various protocols and chemistries for the instrument.

From 2014 to 2019, Daniel worked at Elanco in multiple roles, including Scientist, Technical Writer, and Lab Manager. As Lab Manager, they managed a vaccine development research laboratory facility and oversaw budget and coordination with technical development groups.

Currently, Daniel is with Pegasus Biotech Inc., where they are a Co-Founder and holds the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Director of Operations.

Daniel Wilson holds a Master of Science degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from McGill University. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biology at Dalhousie University.
