Yoshinori Shirono

General Partner at Pegasus Tech Ventures

As a General Partner at Pegasus Tech Ventures, Yoshinori Shirono is responsible for the growth stage venture capital investments at Pegasus. Dr. Shirono is a serial entrepreneur and investor with experience in growing companies and investing in growth stage companies worldwide.

He started his own healthcare startup called Dr. Ci:Labo Co., Ltd. in 1999, and took the company public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2005. He sold the company to Johnson & Johnson in 2019 for several billion dollars. In addition to his healthcare business, Dr. Shirono also founded and manages several hospitals and clinics across Japan.

Dr. Shirono graduated from Keio University Medical School. He is the Chairman of the Japanese Dermatological Association, the Japan Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine, and the Japan Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also continues to serve as a Board member and CEO of Dr. Ci:Labo.
