Charles McGowan

Charles McGowan is a skilled Data Scientist with extensive experience in delivering advanced analytical projects. Currently employed at PEI since September 2022, Charles supports global efforts in marketing, sales, editorial, and product development, notably pioneering a Matchmaking Tool for networking events. Previously, Charles served as a Senior Executive Officer at the Office for National Statistics, focusing on Natural Language models and utilizing the spaCy framework for unstructured text analysis. Earlier roles at the same organization included building impactful data pipelines with Apache Spark. Additionally, Charles was a Doctoral Student at Loughborough University, studying the integration of renewable energy into the national grid. Charles holds a Master's degree in Data Science and Analytics and a BSc in Physics from Cardiff University.
