Miia Tirkkonen

Miia Tirkkonen is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in accounting and financial management. Currently serving as a Controller and previously as an Assistant Controller at Pelastakaa Lapset ry - Save the Children Finland since June 2012, Miia is adept in budgeting, financial reporting, and expenditure analysis for both domestic and international programs. Prior experience includes roles at Etera, where financial forecasting and statement preparation were key responsibilities, and an early position as a Summer Trainee at Tili-Loukia Oy, focusing on bookkeeping and customer service. Miia holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Aalto University School of Business, complemented by a brief academic experience at Alliance Manchester Business School.
