John-Edrich Starke

John-Edrich Starke currently serves as Executive General Counsel at Pele Energy Group, a position held since August 2024. Previously, Starke held various roles at GE from September 2016 to July 2024, including General Counsel for both GE Renewable Energy MENAT & SSA and GE Power SSA. Starke's earlier experience includes serving as Head of Claims and Commercial Manager at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in Africa, and as Commercial Director and Compliance and Legal Manager for Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation PLC from 2010 to 2015. Starke began a legal career as a Senior Associate at Glyn Marais Inc from 2008 to 2010, after holding earlier positions in various companies from 2003 to 2008. Starke's educational background includes a Master of Laws in Tax Law and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Pretoria, along with a Bachelor of Commerce in Law.
