Thi Dao, PE has extensive experience in the field of structural engineering. They have worked as a Senior Structural Engineer at Pelican Energy Consultants, LLC since 2022. Prior to that, Thi was a Senior Structural Engineer at Merrick & Company from 2021 to 2022. Before joining Amaiden Energy, Thi worked as a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer at Keystone Engineering Inc from 2014 to 2018, where they played a leading role in designing structures and foundations for several oil and gas projects. They also served as the Civil Engineering Department Manager at Pelican Energy Consultants from 2013 to 2014, where they designed structures for oil and gas production, transportation, and refining facilities.

Thi's career began at Waldemar S. Nelson & Co. in 1991, where they worked as a Staff Engineer for over two decades. During this time, they designed offshore gas platforms, acted as a construction liaison, and designed foundations for various projects. Prior to that, Thi worked as a Highway & Bridge Construction Engineer at Signet Testing Laboratories from 1989 to 1991, and as a Staff Engineer/Lab Manager at American Laboratories, Inc. from 1988 to 1989, where they performed field inspections, lab testing, and prepared reports on construction materials.

Thi Dao, PE completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans from 1983 to 1987. Thi then pursued advanced Civil Engineering courses at San Jose State University from 1989 to 1990. Additionally, Thi has obtained a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from South Carolina in May 2017. Thi also has plans to obtain PE certifications from Florida, Texas, Kentuckey, Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama, although the specific months and years of obtaining these certifications are currently unknown.
