Valérie Gauthier's work experience includes various roles in human resources, health, safety, and security. Valérie started their career in 2010 as an Assistant in Human Resources at Meuble Idéal Ltée, where they were involved in collective bargaining and daily HR management. Valérie then worked as a Human Resources Advisor at Nettoyage Québec Métro inc., followed by a role as a Claims Manager in Occupational Health and Safety at Mutuelle de prévention de l'Association du transport scolaire du Québec. Valérie also worked as a Health and Safety Coordinator and HR Advisor in Health and Safety/Employee Relations at Pelican International before becoming the Head of Training, Safety & Security. Valérie was later promoted to Director of People Engagement, Safety & Communications, and is currently serving as the Director of HSE, Talent & Culture at Pelican International. Throughout their career, Valérie has focused on employee engagement, talent development, and ensuring the well-being of employees.

Valérie Gauthier, CRIA has a diverse education history. Valérie completed a microprogram specializing in environmental science from the Université de Sherbrooke between 2019 and 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a specialized graduate diploma in public management from ENAP - École nationale d'administration publique from 2012 to 2015. Valérie also holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations from Université Laval, which they completed from 2008 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Valérie Gauthier has obtained a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from Linovati in October 2021.
