Scott Huennekens

Scott has over 25 years experience in the medical device, technology, and diagnostics sectors as an entrepreneur, executive, investor, and board member, having been involved in one of those roles in more than 10 start-up, growth, and public companies. He recently helped launch and served as president and CEO of Verb Surgical, Google’s and J&J’s surgical robotics start-up to revolutionize the future of surgery. Previously, Scott served as president and CEO of former FFC portfolio company Volcano Corporation, a global leader in catheter-based imaging and measurement solutions for cardiovascular applications. He grew Volcano from a start-up in 2002 to an IPO in 2006 and reached over $400 million in revenue at the time of Volcano’s sale to Philips in 2015 for $1.2 billion.

He is also a board member and former chairman of the Medical Device Manufacturer’s Association and serves or has served as a board member on eight other public and/or VC-funded medtech and biotech company boards.
