Athan Shinas

Athan Shinas is the Associate General Counsel at PEMCO Mutual Insurance Company, where they focus on providing strategic legal counsel related to corporate strategies, regulatory issues, and risk management. With over 30 years of experience, Athan has held significant roles at organizations such as Mutual of Enumclaw Insurance Company and Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, where they led legal teams and managed compliance across multiple states. Athan is a board member of the Northwest Insurance Council and the Arizona Property Casualty Insurance Guarantee Fund and has contributed significantly to legislative and regulatory agendas throughout their career. They hold a Juris Doctor from Western New England College School of Law and are currently pursuing a BBA in Accounting/Business Administration at Siena College.
