Maxim Kogan

Maxim Kogan has an extensive work experience that spans over several years and includes various roles. Their most recent position is as the VP, Associate General Counsel at D.A. Davidson Companies since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as Of Counsel at Gamma Law from June 2019 to November 2021. From 2014 to 2019, they held multiple roles at The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, including Counsel and Fund Portfolio Manager. Before that, they worked as an M&A Senior Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP from October 2008 to January 2014. Maxim also had previous experience as a Summer Law Clerk at the Office of the New York State Attorney General in 2006, and as a Clerk at the International Criminal Court in 2004. In addition, they served as Defense at ICTY in 2005 and as a Law Intern (Chambers) at the United Nations Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (UN-MICT) from September 2003 to December 2003.

Maxim Kogan received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations from William & Mary in 2002. Maxim then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Comparative Politics at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2002 to 2003. In 2006, Kogan attended Cornell Law School, where they obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree in 2008. Maxim also briefly studied International Public Law at Geneva Graduate Institute in 2007. In 2001, they completed a program on International Economics and Politics at Stellenbosch University.
