Galen Counselman

Galen Counselman has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and security. Galen started their career at Covenant Hospice, where they held various roles including Technical Services Representative, Sr. Network Administrator, Network Operations Manager, and ultimately Director of Information Services / CSO. In this role, they were responsible for the leadership and strategy of the Information Services department, managing a team and ensuring the confidentiality and security of electronic protected health information. Galen then moved on to Pen Air Federal Credit Union, where they served as AVP / Information Security Officer and later became VP of Information Technology. Currently, Galen is the SVP / CIO at Pen Air Federal Credit Union, overseeing the organization's information technology operations.

Galen Counselman holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Marketing and eCommerce from the University of West Florida. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², and ITIL Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Galen has also received certifications from Microsoft as a Systems Administrator in both Messaging and Server.
