Gregg Betheil

Gregg Betheil has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Gregg started their career in education, working as a Social Studies and Finance Teacher at Martin Luther King, Jr. High School. Gregg later became an Assistant Principal at the same school and served as the Academy of Finance Coordinator. In 2000, Betheil joined NAF as the Senior Vice President, a position they held until 2008. Gregg then moved on to the NYC Department of Education, where they held several executive roles, including Executive Director of Academic & Talent Management and Executive Director of Office of School Programs & Partnerships. In 2015, Betheil joined PENCIL, Inc. as the Chief Program Officer and later served as the President before becoming the Chief Executive Officer in September 2022. Gregg played an active role in various organizations, like #DegreesNYC, where they served as a Steering Committee Co-Chair, and NationSwell, where they joined as a Council Member to connect PENCIL's work with the broader social impact ecosystem.

Gregg Betheil has a strong education background in the field of education. Gregg attended Lafayette College from 1988 to 1992 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, Government & Law.
