Kentaro Kawabe

Kentaro Kawabe is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the securities and investment sector. Currently serving as the Co-founder and CEO of Penguin Securities since July 2023, Kentaro Kawabe focuses on providing institutional-grade cryptocurrency derivative investment products. Prior to this role, Kentaro Kawabe held prominent positions at BNP Paribas Securities from September 2019 to July 2023 as Head of Market Access Product Sales and Prime Brokerage Origination Sales. Kentaro Kawabe also served at BNPパリバ証券 from July 2013 to September 2019 as Head of Cash Equity Japan and Head of Algorithmic Trading Service. Earlier experience includes a Vice President position at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and several roles at Merrill Lynch Japan Securities and Deutsche Bank. Kentaro Kawabe holds a degree in Economics from Sophia University, where studies were completed from April 2000 to March 2004.
