Sid Mair

Sid Mair has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Sid began their career at Silicon Graphics where they led the National Sales Organization focusing on U.S. Intelligence agencies from 1998 to 2000. Sid then joined Speech Sciences Inc. as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Principal in 2001. In 2002, they joined SGI again, this time as the Branch Manager for Civilian Agencies and later as Director of HPC Sales Initiatives.

In 2006, Mair became the President of Allen Energy LLC, where they acquired assets and reorganized the company during the 2007-2010 recession. Sid successfully expanded the business and sold it in 2010 for 170% of the original acquisition.

From 2010 to 2013, Mair focused on their own business ventures. Sid founded Symmetry Partners LLC, a firm that helps individuals and organizations improve performance, and also operated EcoPower LLC, which concentrated on high-return short-term investments in real estate, financial markets, and other unique opportunities.

In 2013, Mair joined Penguin Computing as the Senior Vice President of Federal Systems, where they were responsible for all federal business. Sid was later promoted to President and Chairperson of the Board in 2019. Under their leadership, Penguin Computing significantly increased its revenue and profitability, becoming one of the top HPC companies in the USA and worldwide.

Sid Mair holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Engineering Math and Computing Systems from the University of Central Florida.
