Ashley Murphy

Ashley Murphy is the current Chief Finance and Operations Officer at Peninsula School District. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director of Finance and Operations at North Mason School District 403 from July 2017 to July 2021. In this role, they led and managed a team of 150+ employees who provided operational support for a school district with an annual budget of $36M. Ashley also prepared the District's annual and multi-year budget, the yearly financial statements, and all federal and state grant compliance paperwork.

From August 2014 to June 2017, Ashley worked as an Assistant State Auditor at the Washington State Auditor's Office. In this role, they were responsible for planning, conducting, and documenting various risk-based audits to include financial (full GAAP, cash, and modified accrual), federal, and accountability audits.

Before working as an Assistant State Auditor, Ashley was a Revenue Agent at the Washington State Department of Revenue from December 2009 to August 2014.

Ashley Murphy has earned a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from American Military University.

Ashley Murphy works with Tonya Beattie - Exec. Manager of Chaos, Patrick Gillespie - Director of Capital Projects, and John Hellwich - Assist. Supt. Elementary Schools. Some individuals on their team include Katie Walters - Director of Food Service, Dawnette Wright - Director of Transportation, and Kelly Pearson - Director of Finance. Their manager is Krestin Bahr, Superintendent.
