In his role as Senior VP, Public Affairs, Eric is responsible for Penn’s government relations, community affairs and corporate communications. He also serves as Chairman of the Penn National Gaming Foundation, a 501 (c)3 that supports numerous charitable and civic organizations in the communities in which Penn operates.
Mr. Schippers began his career at Burson-Marsteller, one of the world’s largest international public relations and communications firms, representing Fortune 500 clients in the areas of media relations, public affairs, crisis communications and constituency relations. Prior to joining Penn National, Mr. Schippers was President of a Washington, D.C. area Constitutional “Think Tank,” where he worked on critical public policy issues before the U.S. Congress and state legislatures.
Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and international public relations from the George Washington University.
