John McLendon

John McLendon has an extensive work experience in the field of healthcare information systems. John is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Penn Highlands Healthcare since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Cerner Corporation as the Vice President - Cerner ITWorks Client Leader & CIO from July 2019 to May 2022. Before that, they served as the VP & CIO at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital from July 2016 to March 2019, and as the Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at MedStar Health from January 2015 to July 2016. John also held significant leadership positions at Adventist Health Systems - Information Services, Bayfront Health, Banner Health, EDiX Corporation (later known as Spheris), South Fulton Medical Center, and Memorial Hermann Healthcare System throughout their career.

John McLendon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General from Jacksonville University between 1980 and 1984. John later obtained an MBA from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, completing their studies between 1993 and 1995.
