Mark S. has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Mark is currently working as the VP and Chief Information Security Officer at Penn Mutual since March 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at Principal Financial Group, including Business Information Security Officer II, Business Information Security Officer, Senior Information Security Analyst, Solution Architect, Primavera Tool Manager, and IT System Analyst. Throughout their tenure at Principal Financial Group, they demonstrated strong leadership skills by providing information security leadership for a business unit of over 400 engineers and 3,000 business employees. Mark also played a key role in overseeing the cyber security of retirement and income assets worth over $350 billion across multiple product lines. Additionally, they contributed to the creation and maintenance of policies, standards, and procedures aligned with NIST 800-53. Mark S. also has experience in IT, having worked as an IT Student Producer at Iowa State University and as an IT Intern at Principal Financial Group.
