Michael McVey

Michael McVey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Michael started their career with CIGNA as a Senior Commercial Underwriter in 1988 and worked there until 1996. Michael then joined Penn National Insurance in 1996 as a Commercial Lines Product Manager for Auto & Inland Marine, a role they held until 2013. In 2013, they moved to Berkley Mid-Atlantic Group as an Inland Marine Underwriting Manager until 2015. Michael returned to Penn National Insurance in 2015, first as a Product Manager for GL/Umbrella & Inland Marine, and then as the Manager of Underwriting Education & Training, Commercial Lines Quality & Strategy. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Talent Development at Penn National Insurance.

Michael McVey has a strong educational background, having pursued various degrees throughout their career. Michael started their education journey in 1984 at Rutgers University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management, which they completed in 1988. Following this, they attended Widener University from 1989 to 1994, earning their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Marketing. Finally, from 2012 to 2017, they attended Penn State University, where they obtained their highest level of education, a Doctor of Education (D.Ed.) degree in Adult Education.

Aside from their formal education, Michael McVey also holds the certification of CPCU in Good Standing, obtained in December 2019 from The Institutes.
