Shadi Hijjawi

Shadi Hijjawi, MD, FACP, MBA, CPE, CHCQM, serves as Associate Chief Medical Information Officer at Penn State Health and holds the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine since July 2021. Previously, Shadi Hijjawi worked at CaroMont Health from 2013 to June 2021 in various roles including Physician Advisor for Utilization Review, Hospitalist, Interim Chief Medical Information Officer, and Physician Informaticist. Prior training includes internships and residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and a clinical and research residency at the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center. Shadi Hijjawi earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from Jordan University of Science and Technology and an MBA focused on Health Care Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Additionally, Shadi Hijjawi is a fellow of the American College of Medicine and holds a certification in Healthcare Quality Management.
