Bill Rote

Bill Rote is an accomplished pharmaceutical executive with extensive experience in research and development. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Travere Therapeutics since February 2017, Bill also contributes as a member of the Penn State Biotechnology Advisory Board since 2012. Previously, Bill held key leadership roles at Ardea Biosciences and Amylin Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities included managing clinical development, directing team operations, and overseeing significant budgets and headcounts. Bill's career is marked by successful program management and strategic leadership in drug development, anchored by a strong academic foundation with a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Penn State College of Medicine and postdoctoral training in Cardiovascular Pharmacology at the University of Michigan.
