Daniel Brent

Daniel Brent is an accomplished academic and researcher with significant experience in the field of economics, particularly in water resource management. As an Assistant Professor at Penn State University since July 2018 and previously at Louisiana State University, Daniel has focused on employing experimental economics to address issues concerning water management. Daniel’s extensive background includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Monash University, where work involved collaboration with policymakers to implement research findings in practice. Daniel's educational foundation includes a PhD in Economics from the University of Washington, where research encompassed municipal water demand estimation and advanced biofuel impacts on land use. Previous roles include predoctoral fellowships at Arizona State University, and various positions at the University of Washington, as well as a survey statistician role at the U.S. Department of Energy.
