Eric Harkins

Eric Harkins is currently the Assistant Director of Strategic Communications at Penn State University, a role held since September 2025. Previously, Eric served as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Quinnipiac University from August 2022 to September 2025 and held the position of Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant there. Experience also includes an Operations Assistant role at Connecticut Sports Management Group, where Eric managed needs assessments and event operations for various sports tournaments. Earlier positions featured contributions to athletic communications at the University of Connecticut, including work as a student worker and stat crew member for multiple conferences and events. Eric's leadership skills were demonstrated as Chapter President of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, and Eric has extensive involvement in sports management, having obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and Communication from the University of Connecticut and pursuing an MBA at Quinnipiac University.
