Kari Williamson

Kari Williamson is the Director of Information Technology at Penn State University, a position held since March 2011, where responsibilities include overseeing IT operations for the Office of the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses, leading project management, user support, and systems administration. Williamson implements industry best practices and conducts biannual strategic planning sessions to set IT vision and goals. Additionally, Williamson serves as Project Lead for the Polaris Stage 2 website redesign and is involved in several committees and councils focused on IT leadership and operational effectiveness. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Director of IT and Coordinator of IT at Penn State Abington, with a focus on strategic planning, policy creation, and resource allocation. Williamson holds a BA in American Studies from Penn State University and is ITIL Foundations Certified.
