Kat Phillips

Nursing & Allied Health Liaison Librarian

Kat Phillips is an experienced librarian currently serving as the Nursing & Allied Health Liaison Librarian at Penn State University since July 2017, where Kat co-created the information credibility assessment method known as IF I APPLY. Prior to this role, Kat held various positions at Marshall University, including Interim Head of STEM Libraries and Reference and Instruction Librarian, where responsibilities encompassed teaching, liaison work, and developing library services and courses. Previous experience includes positions as Director of Library Services at BridgeValley Community and Technical College and a Summary Writer for Wolters Kluwer, among others. Kat holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor's degree in Applied French and Linguistics from Pennsylvania State University.
