Raghu Sangwan

Raghu Sangwan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in academia and industry, currently serving as a Mentor-in-Residence at Penn State University's Invent Penn State Startup Leadership Network since July 2003. In this role, Raghu provides strategic guidance to startups, leveraging a strong background in entrepreneurship and innovation. Additionally, as the Associate Chief Academic Officer and Director of Engineering Programs, Raghu fosters a supportive environment for students and faculty. Raghu's career includes positions such as Director of the Insights Lab, Professor, and Associate Professor of Software Engineering, focusing on applied research and teaching in large-scale software systems. Raghu also contributes as a Visiting Scientist at the Software Engineering Institute and Consulting Member of Technical Staff at Siemens Corporate Research, emphasizing software architecture and quality practices. Prior experience includes serving as a Software Architect at Siemens Healthineers. Raghu holds a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Sciences from Temple University.
