Sai Venkata Gayathri Ayyagari

Sai Venkata Gayathri Ayyagari is currently a Research Assistant at Penn State University, focusing on the investigation of structure and defects in complex oxides and related materials through advanced microscopy techniques. With a strong background in teaching and outreach, Sai leads the MRSEC K12 Outreach Team to enhance materials science education among K-12 students, while also managing lab safety compliance. Previous experience includes multiple teaching assistant roles at both Penn State University and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as research positions at various prestigious institutions, contributing to diverse projects in materials science. Educational qualifications consist of a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Penn State University, an MS from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a B.Tech. with Honours from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.
