Talea Drummer-Ferrell, Ph.D., currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Kent State University, a position held since October 2016. In this role, Talea advocates for students and leads several departments focused on enhancing the co-curricular experience for a diverse student population, including responsibilities as a deputy Title IX coordinator. Previous positions include Dean of Students, Interim Dean of Students, and Director of the Student Multicultural Center at Kent State, as well as Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Support Services at Eastern Michigan University. Talea holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration & Student Personnel from Kent State University, a Master of Education in College Student Personnel from the University of Louisville, and a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies from Miami University.
