Wangda Zuo

Professor, Department Of Architectural Engineering And Department Of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University

Wangda Zuo is a Professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University, where Zuo also serves as Associate Director for Research at the Global Building Network and as Associate Faculty at the Institute of Computational and Data Science. Zuo has a joint appointment at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and previously held several roles at the University of Colorado Boulder, including Faculty Director for Smart, Sustainable, and Resilient City, and Associate Professor of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering. With a focus on building energy efficiency, advanced building control, net zero energy communities, and smart and resilient cities, Zuo has contributed to academic research and teaching since 2013, encompassing positions at the University of Miami, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and Purdue University. Zuo obtained a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and has degrees in Computational Engineering and Automation from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and Chongqing University, respectively.
