John-Thomas (JT) Graupensperger, PWS, serves as an Associate Vice President and Environmental Practice Lead in our Environmental Division, with a primary focus on environmental clearance and permitting. He is responsible for the management and mentoring of a group of highly skilled staff comprised of engineers, scientists, industrial hygienists, health and safety professionals, and trainers. JT is also the Ecological Services Discipline Leader and Environmental Discipline Leader for Transportation, where he is responsible for the oversight and management, standardization, and QAQC of environmental deliverables for projects and clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.
With over 18 years of experience, JT supports projects for federal, state, commercial and private clients with project management, wetland and habitat assessments, stream restoration, threatened and endangered species investigations and coordination including Phase 1 Bog Turtle Habitat Assessments, Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments, permit applications, state and federal agency coordination, public involvement coordination, NEPA document preparation and review, and hazardous materials investigations, including asbestos and lead investigations. He is a Certified Professional Wetland Scientist, a Licensed Pennsylvania Asbestos Building Inspector, a Licensed Pennsylvania Lead Hazard Inspector, and a Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Wild Plant Management Permit holder.
