Theodore (Ted) Thomson, Ph.D, PE, D.GE, LEED AP, serves as an Associate Vice President and the Geotechnical Practice Lead in Newark, DE office. He has over 25 years’ experience and specializes in the areas of geotechnical and structural design and instrumentation, and in-situ geotechnical testing. He has experience managing multi-disciplinary projects including geotechnical design/analysis/reporting, construction observation and material testing, dam engineering, water resources design/consulting, structural design/consulting, environmental consulting/testing, as well as geotechnical and structural instrumentation. In addition, Ted has provided forensic engineering and expert testimony for several projects. He has acted as liaison between owners and contractors on a multitude of projects and he has experience in contract development/negotiations.
In addition to extensive project experience, Ted also volunteers with several local and national agencies including the ACE Mentor Program of Delaware, and Delaware Association of Professional Engineers.
