James E. O’Neill

Mr. O’Neill is a partner in the law firm of Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP and is resident in the firm’s Wilmington, Delaware office. Mr. O’Neill specializes in financial restructuring and represents significant parties in interest in complex reorganizations and financially distressed situations. He and his husband, David A. Rubin, Principal at the landscape architecture firm of Land Collective LLC, lives in Center City, Philadelphia.

Mr. O'Neill is a former member of the board of directors of the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that provides pro bono legal services. He also assisted in the development of an alternative dispute resolution system for the Bankruptcy Court in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. O'Neill is a graduate of Georgetown University and received his J.D. from Villanova University Law School. Mr. O’Neill holds leadership roles in several nonprofit organizations.

Mr. O’Neill is a resident trustee at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. He has served on PAFA’s Board since 2011 and was elected Secretary in June 2022. He chairs the School Committee and serves on the Exhibitions Committee, Executive Committee, and the School Review Committee.
