Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts
Marguerite is a native Philadelphian. Following her marriage to H. F. (Gerry) Lenfest they lived in New York where Marguerite taught elementary school. Marguerite and Gerry purchased two cable TV systems from Walter Annenberg and became partners in what later became Lenfest Communications. After twenty-five years Lenfest Communications was sold to Comcast in 2000.
Marguerite’s grandfather, James Randolph Fisher, graduated from PAFA in 1891. Marguerite serves on four foundations, two art museums, and one college Board.

Founded in 1805, PAFA is the first museum and school of fine arts in the nation. PAFA’s museum is internationally known for its collections of American art, and our school attracts some of the most committed and promising art students.
