Michael Fanjoy LPC, CCTP, CAADC, C-DBT has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health and substance abuse treatment. Michael started as an Admissions Supervisor and House Supervisor at Teen Challenge New England in 2003, working in a faith-based rehabilitation program. Michael then worked as an Addiction Counselor at Malvern Institute from an unspecified date in 2007 to November 2010. From 2010 to 2016, they held multiple roles at Onward Behavioral Health/Rehab After Work, including Site Director, Director of Young Adult Services, Clinical Supervisor, and IOP Counselor. Michael then joined Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge as a Clinical Program Director from May 2016 to July 2017. Following that, they served as the Chief Clinical & Quality Officer at Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge, responsible for overseeing a long-term faith-based program and a new short-term clinical inpatient and detoxification program. Michael then became the Vice President of Clinical Services at Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge from February 2018 to April 2023 before transitioning to their current role as the Director of Mental Health Services at the same organization in April 2023.
Michael Fanjoy LPC, CCTP, CAADC, C-DBT earned their Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Pastoral Counseling, Theology, Preaching, Hermeneutics, and Old & New Testament studies at the University of Valley Forge, where they studied from 2006 to 2009.
In addition to their education, Michael Fanjoy holds several certifications. Michael is a Licensed Professional Counselor, certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which they obtained in November 2016. Michael is also a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, certified by the Pennsylvania Certification Board. Furthermore, they are a Certified Clinical Supervisor, certified by the Pennsylvania Credentialing Board. The specific dates of obtaining these certifications were not provided.
