Jean Svoboda

Jean Svoboda currently serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Board Secretary at PHEAA since April 2019. Prior experience includes roles at M&T Bank as Administrative Vice President/Associate General Counsel and VP/Senior M&A Counsel from January 2014 to March 2019, and at Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc. as SVP/Associate Counsel from September 2008 to December 2013. Previously, Jean was General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Sterling Financial Corporation from May 2004 to June 2008 and a partner at Shumaker Williams, P.C. from September 1998 to May 2004. Jean Svoboda earned a JD from Creighton University School of Law (1995-1998) and a BA in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (1987-1990).
