Dana Dentice

Dana Dentice has a diverse work experience in the field of urban forestry and natural resources management. From 2006 to 2007, Dentice worked as an Emerald Ash Borer Surveyor for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. In 2007, Dentice joined the City of Fitchburg as a Park and Urban Forestry Assistant. From 2011 to 2012, Dentice worked as an Urban Forestry Communication Specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Dentice then transitioned to the role of GIS Specialist and Planning Assistant at the same department from 2012 to 2018. During this time, Dentice also worked as a Plant One Million Manager for the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) from 2014 to 2018, managing urban forestry programs and coordinating tree planting events. Dentice's most recent role has been as the Trees Program Manager at PHS since May 2018.

Dana Dentice has a strong educational background in the field of urban and regional planning and landscape architecture. Dana obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Natural Resources, specializing in Landscape Architecture, at the same university from 2003 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Dana Dentice has also obtained certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. PHS connects people with horticulture, and together we create beautiful, healthy and sustainable communities. PHS produces the annual Philadelphia Flower Show, a tradition dating back to 1829 that attracts approximately 250,000 visitors each year and has a $61 million economic impact on the region. Revenue from the Flower Show supports PHS's urban greening initiatives, including PHS City Harvest and the Plant One Million tree campaign.
