Andrew Christ has extensive work experience in the field of education policy and regulation. Andrew started their career as a Policy Consultant at the Pennsylvania School Boards Association in August 2006. In this role, they assisted in the design and implementation of a new online policy system and managed the conversion of over 450 policy manuals to the online system. Andrew also trained and supervised temporary employees during this process.
After ten years in this role, Andrew was promoted to the position of Director of Education Policy in March 2016. In this role, they analyzed proposed laws and regulations to evaluate their impact on public schools. Andrew also compiled and analyzed education data to advance policy objectives. Additionally, they authored several reports on education-related topics such as the State of Education in Pennsylvania and Charter School Revenues, Expenditures, and Transparency.
In October 2022, Andrew was further promoted to the position of Senior Director of Education Policy at the Pennsylvania School Boards Association. Their responsibilities in this role include conducting in-depth analysis of education policies, evaluating their impact on public schools, and developing strategies to advance policy objectives.
Prior to their work at the Pennsylvania School Boards Association, Andrew gained experience as an Industry Investigator at the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. In this role, they investigated potential violations of federal laws and regulations by members of regulated industries. Andrew completed training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and also trained fellow Inspectors on the use of new equipment and its applicability to their job duties.
Andrew Christ earned a Bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice from York College of Pennsylvania from 1998 to 2001. Andrew then pursued a Doctor of Law - JD degree at Penn State Dickinson Law from 2002 to 2005.
