Daryl Nelson is an experienced educator and coach with a diverse background in track and field athletics. Currently serving as the Head Cross Country Track and Field Coach at Albright College since July 2024 and a teacher with the Pennsylvania State Education Association since January 2022, Daryl has also been involved with the City of Philadelphia as a teacher and collegiate track and field coach since January 2017, where responsibilities include assisting in a high-level Division II track and field program. Prior to these roles, Daryl held positions as Head Track and Field Coach at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia from November 2020 to November 2023 and at Manor College from August 2018 to November 2020. Daryl's educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Eastern University, a Master’s Degree in Multicultural Education from Eastern University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Recreation Management from Temple University.

PSEA represents the labor, policy, and professional interests of 178,000 public school teachers and education support professionals, staff in state higher education institutions, nurses in health care facilities, retired educators, and college students preparing to become teachers.
