Ryan Shovlin

Ryan Shovlin currently serves as the Executive Director and Legal Counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee in the Pennsylvania State Senate since January 2023. Prior to this role, Ryan was a Deputy District Attorney at the Dauphin County District Attorney's Office from March 2016 to January 2023. Ryan's legal experience includes internships at the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, the Federal Communications Commission, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and with Senator Pat Toomey. Ryan earned a Juris Doctor from Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Art History from Bucknell University.
