Timothy Smith

Timothy Smith serves as the Executive Director and Counsel for the Democratic Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee at the Pennsylvania State Senate since April 2023. Previously, Timothy held the position of Assistant Counsel for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from June 2022 to April 2023 and worked as a Prosecuting Attorney for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of State from March 2016 to June 2022. Timothy also contributed to legal education as the Clinic Supervising Attorney and Clinical Education Fellow at Penn State, The Dickinson School of Law, from August 2012 to March 2016. Earlier experience includes a Summer Law Clerk role at the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia and a Legal Intern position at the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Bureau of Consumer Protection. Timothy's educational background includes a J.D. from Penn State Dickinson Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Scranton.
