Melissa Yoest

Melissa Yoest is an experienced educator with a focus on special education, currently serving as a Middle School Special Education Teacher at PA Virtual Charter School since August 2022. Prior to this role, Melissa worked as a teacher at Huntington Learning Center and spent nearly two decades at Upper St. Clair School District as a Special Education Teacher, where responsibilities included customizing learning opportunities, collaborating with core subject teachers, facilitating IEP meetings, and leading Professional Learning Communities. Additional experience includes serving as an Elementary Emotional Support Teacher at Moon Area School District and a long-term substitute Emotional Support Teacher at Intermediate Unit 1. Melissa holds a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Reading & Language Arts from Duquesne University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, specializing in dual certification in Elementary and Special Education.
