Shaikha B.

Shaikha B. has a diverse range of work experience in the education field. Shaikha started their career as an IB Teacher at Modern Knowledge Schools in 2009. Shaikha then worked as a Special Education Teacher in The School District of Philadelphia from 2010 to 2011, specializing in science and math. After that, they joined Mastery Schools as a Special Education Teacher in 2011, focusing on emotional support. Shaikha briefly worked as a Special Education Liaison at Universal Audenried Charter High School from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2016, Shaikha served as a Special Education and Support Services Coordinator at ASPIRA, Inc. of Pennsylvania and later as a Special Education Instructional Coach. Shaikha then moved on to the Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program, where they worked as a CPISP US Guardian from 2012 to 2023. Most recently, Shaikha held various leadership roles at PA Virtual Charter School, including School Principal for grades 10-12, High School Assistant Principal, and High School Principal, before assuming their current position as Chief Academic Officer in July 2022.

Shaikha B. has an extensive education history spanning several years and covering a variety of fields. Shaikha began their educational journey in 2006 at The Kingdom University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Management Information Systems, specializing in General Management Information Systems. After completing their undergraduate studies, Shaikha pursued further education at Holy Family University from 2010 to 2012, obtaining a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Elementary and Special Education.

In the same year, Shaikha also joined the Philadelphia Teaching Fellows program, where they focused on Special Education and Teaching. This program did not award a specific degree, but provided valuable specialized training in their field of interest. Building on their expertise, they pursued a Principal Certification from PhillyPLUS between 2015 and 2017, focusing on Educational Leadership and Administration, General.

Shaikha's dedication to education continued, and in 2016 they embarked on a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree at Drexel University. Shaikha concentrated their studies on Educational Leadership and Organizational Management, completing this program in 2020.

In addition to their degrees, Shaikha has obtained a range of certifications that further enhance their qualifications. These include the PA Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, obtained in October 2020. Shaikha also holds various subject-specific certifications such as PA Principal K-12, PA Arabic K-12, PA General Science 7-12, PA Middle School Math 6-9, PA Elementary Education K-6, and PA Special Education N-12, all obtained in 2013. Shaikha has also earned an IB Certification in ITGS from The International Baccalaureate in 2010 and a TEFL/TESOL certification from i-to-i TEFL in 2008. Moreover, they completed a Trainer the Trainer program offered by The GLOBE Program in 2004.
