Jason Byl

Jason Byl serves as the AVP of Enterprise Data Governance and Product Owner at PENNYMAC, where significant achievements include enhancing data asset governance in six months and modernizing data governance policies. Previously, Jason held roles at BNK Petroleum Inc. as an Exploration Geologist and Senior Geologist, driving data analysis for projects in Europe and Oklahoma. Jason began a career in geology as an Associate Geologist at Venoco before working as a Data Consultant for multiple clients, improving financial and operational efficiencies. Jason holds a BS in Geophysics from UC Santa Barbara.
