Richard Sobey

Richard Sobey is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in IT security and system engineering. Currently serving as a Senior IT Security Engineer at Pension Insurance Corporation plc since October 2018, Richard has also held positions as IT Security Manager and Senior System Engineer, managing various datacentre technologies including IBM Storwize, Cisco UCS, and Netapp storage systems. Prior to this role, Richard was employed at Imperial College London from September 1999 to October 2018, where responsibilities included serving as a Storage Analyst, Messaging Technology Specialist, and Faculty Support Engineer, notably leading the technical aspects of the Exchange 2007 to 2010 migration for 45,000 mailboxes. Richard holds an HND in Computer Systems from Nene College Northampton, completed between 1997 and 1999.
