Rob Groves has a wide range of experience in the finance and investment industry. Rob has held various roles throughout their career, starting as a student actuary at the Government Actuary's Department in 1998. Rob then worked as an investment analyst at Buck Consultants from 2001 to 2005, followed by a role as an investment consultant at Towers Perin in 2005 and 2006. From 2006 to 2010, they served as an insurance and pensions specialist at Dresdner Kleinwort before joining UBS Investment Bank as a Director of Pensions Solutions from 2010 to 2011. Rob then became the Chief Investment Officer at Friends Life group from 2011 to 2015. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Investment Officer at Pension Insurance Corporation since 2015. Additionally, Groves is an Investment Committee Member at the Pension Protection Fund starting from 2023.
Rob Groves attended the University of Southampton from 1995 to 1998. Rob later enrolled in the Harvard Business School, where they completed a Leadership For Senior Executives program in 2019.
